Dress Rehearsal Information
Miracle Live! Dress Rehearsal
The Dress Rehearsal is coming up! Our mock week will be running November 7th through 13th. As with standard mock weeks, there are no reserves, and the app is barebones. Much like the main game, we're aiming for around 5-10 players but will run with as many as 15.
PLEASE NOTE: The date for opening applications has CHANGED. It is now Monday, November 1st, giving everyone almost a week to coordinate their AU connections before the mock week begins. Feel free to plot with other players via this post, our Discord, or elsewhere!
Some things you may need to know about our Dress Rehearsal:
🧡This is not canon to the main round. While it will use the same setting and some of the same NPCs, it is a completely separate story.
💛Because this is only a week as opposed to the 4 months of the main story, the Dress Rehearsal starts with the School Idol Club already formed. Please feel free to plot and forge connections between your characters leading up to the mock week!
💙Like the main game, the Dress Rehearsal will also take place in real time. It spans one week in early November, immediately after the School Idol Club has performed at the school's culture festival (as Culture Day occurs during the week before). The game will begin on Sunday, where the club is practising at school on their day off, and span the school week; an Opportunity will present itself on Tuesday, and an Event will occur on Saturday where the club can perform and impress their public.

💜Both this and the main round are locked to friends on my plurklist. Since it's such a small game, we're not currently taking referrals/plus-ones, though that may change if circumstances warrant.

Nakano Ayaka
-From Maizumi and has lived there her whole life.
-A second-year who's attended the school from day one, so she'll know her classmates.
-The head of the Newspaper Club... which doesn't exist, because she couldn't recruit anyone else to make it official. She still insists that she's head of the Newspaper Club and writes and prints off amateur newspapers to hand out after school assembly.
-This is actually how she became a school idol! She came to report on them and somehow got talked into joining.
-Constantly looking for a big story so people will want to read her newspaper.
-Always using cat puns for no apparent reason. (The translation waffled on how to approach her random use of "nya" all over her sentences, but sometimes they did cat puns, and cat puns are funny, so I'm keeping them.)
-Probably doing most of the club's publicity work.
Looking for friends, people to be annoyed by her, or any ideas you might have.

- She was orphaned at age one, and basically been by herself for at least most of middle school thanks to a trust fund. She normally is very lonerly...
- ... But at least a few people are likely to be contacts (she's not sure she's ready for the Friend word), and ideally someone to talk her into joining the Idol Club, initially as an A/V technician (she's very good at that).
- She's very gay and not too great at hiding it if we're being honest... And has a better eye for performance than she thinks. People to get her to push herself there would be great.
- Also, cats are an occasional thing for her, too.
- Definitely doing a lot of stage display type stuff - going well beyond just screens to full on light displays.

Tsukino Usagi
- Usagi transferred to Harugaizumi from her school in Tokyo after her dad accepted a job in Maizumi.
- A first-year!
- She's not the best student. She's gotten better at studying, but she's not great at it.
- She joined the School Idol Club because everyone was so cute! She's good at helping make little accessories and things for their costumes, but don't ask her to sew a dress. She'd sew her finger to it at least twice.
- She likes video games.
- Her favorite school idols are Saint Snow because they're so cool and cute!
- She's probably going to call your character cute and pretty at least once.
- She has a cat named Luna, though since this is an AU, Luna can't talk.

which is to say that Ayaka totally cornered Usagi on the first day of school with a million interview questions for her one-person newspaper

- the joke of her name is some people pronounce it "kara-meru" and others pronounce it "kera-meru." she thinks it's funny and never corrects anyone.
- technically from america, has lived in japan for six years (since middle school!) at this point so people in maizumi are relatively used to her but definitely still does the Anime Foreigner thing where she puts random english in her sentences
- best friends with the local priestess-in-training, who everyone from maizumi would know as tsubomi (they were known as AmiAmi when they performed together)
- sort of got club president by default after tsubomi dipped to focus on her priestess training
- has a mysterious older sister nobody's ever met that she keeps citing as her main reason for wanting to become an idol (said mysterious older sister is. an american pop star. think... halsey.)
- obsessed with paranormal romance. has asked for werewolf-themed pvs every single time, it is unwritten club rules that she cannot have werewolf pvs every single time carmel PLEASE pick a different theme
- probably one of the better dancers. singing? um
- her hair is constantly different colors. does she dye it every few days? is it just the lighting? who knows.

A major question is in which direction? Rita would be at least kinda interested in Arianna for similar reasons to Estelle in canon, after all...Miko, babey
- She lived until recently in the exotic american city of ~Bailley, Oregon~, which is impressive if you know about the american tech industry but literally only that.
- She loves video games and video game music, which is sort of how she ended up here? She's definitely in the "here for the whole having friends thing" side of love live characters
- Her grades uh. Really depend on the class. She has the ADHD thing where she's great in the ones she cares about!!! She can code in two languages but knows like fifty kanji total.
- Listen this is the kind of nonsense in her vocabulary and personality she is not the Subtle, Withdrawn type. Everyone probably goes into this with an Opinion about her. It may not be positive, and she accepts that, but she WILL try to change your mind.
- Has a small side job doing tech repairs! Her boss is pretty chill with her scheduling tho.
